Bio for Scott Hare, PGA Teaching Consulting to www.ifyoulikegolf.com
Having grown up in Chattanooga and getting his start in golf as a junior at Valleybrook, Scott Hare has always had a special place in his heart for junior golf. After graduating from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Management, Scott started his career working at Lookout Mountain Golf Club. Scott was employed by LMGC for eight years followed by three years at the Chattanooga Golf & Country Club. He then landed his first Head Golf Professional position at Okefenokee Country Club in Waycross, Georgia and served there for 18 months until he came back to Chattanooga to take the Head Golf Professional / General Manager position at Signal Mountain Golf and Country Club, where he served for over 6 years. For the next two years Scott followed his passion for teaching at the Chattanooga Golf Center until this past March when he became Program Director for The First Tee of Chattanooga. Scott developed his original desire to teach while working for Brett Mullin at Lookout Mountain Golf Club and continued his growth as a teacher at the Chattanooga Golf & Country Club. Scott feels blessed to be able to continue to purse his desire to teach in his current position of Program Director at The First Tee of Chattanooga and it “allows me to help make a difference in the lives of the kids in our program.” Scott has been in the golf business for over 20 years and a Member of the PGA of America since 1994. In addition to his duties at The First Tee of Chattanooga Scott serves as President of the Tennessee Section PGA, is on the Board of Director of the Tennessee Golf Foundation, and serves as PGA Teaching Consultant to this website. For private lessons Scott can be reached at 423.653.7714.
